Thursdays: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM- Arts & Crafts Room

Summerfield Needlecrafters and Quilters meet Thursdays in the Clubhouse Arts and Crafts Room from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.  Everyone is welcome to bring their own projects to work on.  It’s a great opportunity to exchange ideas, pick up new techniques and enjoy verbal exercise.  Drop in and see us.  We enjoy meeting new people.

We have talented members who do excellent cross-stitch, embroidery and knitting.  The Quilters enjoy making quilts of all styles.  We all learn from each other, everyone has a skill to share, but perhaps the greatest is sharing a laugh or giggle or two.

Every year the Club makes a quilt to be raffled off at the annual Summerfield Art Fest which benefits Tigard High School’s Art Scholarship.  Sewers and non-sewers are needed to help cut strips from the wonderful cotton fabric we’ve gathered up to make the paper-pieced blocks for the very colorful pattern chosen for this quilt.
