Summerfield Landscape Committee

Purpose:

The Summerfield Civic Association Landscape Committee is dedicated to helping maintain the attractiveness and property values of the Summerfield Community.  The committees’ purpose is to provide direction to homeowners on how to keep their property well landscaped and maintained, and to ensure consistent application of rules in order to maintain an attractive and desirable appearance in our community.  The Landscape Committee has the authority to approve landscaping proposals submitted by individual property owners, recommend improvements in common areas, and make requests to property owners to remedy violations of the provisions of the Summerfield Conditions and Restrictions and the Summerfield Civic Association Landscape Manual.

Membership:

The Landscape Committee is a volunteer group comprised of seven voting members and a liaison from the SCA.  All members serve for a three-year term.

Responsibilities:

No significant landscaping or modification to any landscaping within Summerfield shall commence until written plans and specifications have been submitted and approved, in writing, by the Landscape Committee. 

Change request forms can be found on this website and at the Clubhouse on the stack trays outside the office.  Your request should be completed in duplicate (2 copies) and turned into the Office where it will be date stamped and put in the chairperson’s box.  Landscaping change requests will be processed, in most cases, within 7 to10 days and the landscape work must not be started until an approval has been received.

We also receive all complaints regarding landscape violations.  We try to handle all problems in a timely manner.  Our goal is to work WITH YOU.  We all enjoy the beauty of Summerfield, and our goal is to keep it attractive for our neighbors and ourselves.
